NYSE Facade - Cultural and Financial Icon

NYSE Facade - Superbowl XLVI

If you're online, watch televisions, or read papers, you will not miss this imposing structure during money talk segments. Visitors in New York might miss a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty but never this one, it's there for the taking, up close and personal. The main attraction of Wall Street, from students to financiers, adventurers to lovers, you'll see them all year round catching some pose. Perhaps, hoping to rub some good fortune inside this most iconic facade of modern times, thanks to cable television, the NYSE.

Once in a while, it changes its facade with drapes from companies that, for the first time, offered their shares to the public. In finance, they call it "Initial Public Offering (IPO)" or simply "Public Listing". One of the most recognized ceremonies in business is the symbolic ringing of bell inside the building, which signifies the maiden public trading of company stocks through the exchange.

This site will chronicle in pictures the NYSE facade as it changes its, hmmm, dress(?) courtesy of company suitors who want to take part of the financial parties (Yup, some companies do throw literally and figuratively parties in the NYSE ground during listing). And we will also include articles about the companies which list on that day. Now I know why it houses many men in ties...She's a LADY?...Darn, I lost my bet on that one.
